We dredged on Six Foot Knoll that day, east of Bodkin Point and the dredged Craighill Channel to the port of Baltimore. There were three skipjacks and dozens of patent tongers who use hydraulically operated tongs to grab the oysters. The skipjacks use dredges, heavy iron rakes that are dragged over the bottom.
