Each fall, the Great Lakes Alberg 30 Association sends down a couple of boat crews to race on the Chesapeake Bay. (There's a similar event on the Great Lakes, in the spring.) These crews bring their own sails and race on borrowed boats against the local racers. It's a team event; the team with the best score wins. That doesn't always include the boat with the best score.
