- The Privacy Foundation exists
to publicize threats to personal privacy.
- Steve Gibson (who wrote the SpinRite utility) offers
Shields UP, which tests your vulnerability
from the web. He also offers OptOut, a free
utility to let you know when one of your programs is surreptitiously spying on you.
- The Privacy Forum provides some websites and news reports of interest.
- I find the Computer
Risks Digest extremely interesting. It contains discussions on all types of
risks in computer systems, including privacy.
A serious magazine for serious sailors. This magazine deals extensively
with all sorts of navigation, from ded reckoning to radar and GPS. Also
significant coverage of other issues of offshore (or other challenging) sailing.
